Abstract

In this work, a four-channel ultrasonic flowmeter with identical signal paths is proposed. Various designs of ultrasonic flowmeters have been analysed, and the rationale for developing such a measuring transducer is presented. The operation of the four-channel flowmeter was simulated both in the SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation environment and using a classical analytical approach. The simulation results are presented in terms of the measurement error at specific flow rates, considering both the presence of a flow conditioning device and standard flow resistances. A comparative analysis of the obtained results demonstrates the advantages and potential of the proposed ultrasonic flowmeter with identical signal paths.
