Introduction to revitalization – pre-project analyses on the example of Żmigród Street in Lublin

The article is about the pre-project analyses necessary to make a revitalization project. The issue is illustrated with the help of performed studies of the downtown tissue of Żmigród Street in Lublin as part of the course „Basics of revitalization of degraded areas” realized at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Lublin University of Technology. Actions in the historical structure are associated with many restrictions and require cooperation with the conservator of monuments, so it is important to conduct a detailed and comprehensive study of the study area. The analysis carried out showed the need to improve the quality of the area located on Żmigród Street in Lublin, and the material obtained provides an introduction to the revitalization project and suggests the direction of work.
