Abstract

This article discusses the technologies used in modern combat aircraft to reduce their vulnerability to radar detection. It presents a range of methods by which this is achieved. It compares the types of materials used for this purpose in the past with those currently in use and under development. The prospects for the future use of these materials are discussed. The need to develop radar echo reduction technologies is analysed in the context of the changing realities of the battlefield.
