Abstract
The article discusses the development of autonomous technology in aviation, focusing on the MATRIX™ system developed by Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation. The evolution of this technology is presented, from the experimental system on the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter to the finished solution for operational applications. The article addresses the advantages of autonomy, such as increased safety, precision of operations and reduced burden on crews. There is also a discussion of the challenges of pilots' fear of losing their jobs. The article also considers the future of
autonomous systems in aviation, including their potential
in the cargo and passenger transport sector and the role that pilots will play in this new aviation landscape.
