Abstract
The article concerns the use of wood as a material in aircraft construction. It presents the historical aspects of the use of
this raw material in aircraft vehicles. The most commonly used types of wood are listed and characterised, and the basic technologies related to their use in aircraft construction are discussed. Examples of using wood
in modern aircraft are also described.
