Detailed information

The Informatics, Control, Measurement in Economy and Environmental Protection(„Informatyka, Automatyka, Pomiary w Gospodarce i Ochronie Środowiska” – IAPGOS) quarterly has been issued since 1st of July 2008. It’s a peer-reviewed, technical and scientific journal, publishing in English language. The articles presented in the journal describe the research on modern means of industry automation using the computer measurement technology, aiming at development of widely understood environmental protection.

IAPGOS is the only journal on the Polish market for people from industry and science, working in both branches: automation/measurement and environmental protection for the needs of the whole economy. The quarterly cooperates with Polish and foreign technical universities and companies from Central and Eastern Europe, supporting the transfer of scientific know-how to practical applications in industry.

Since 2013, each publication has been assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) number, distributed by Index Copernicus and Crossref organizations.

The editorial office of the journal does not charge submission or publication fees for the manuscripts, publishing in the open access formula, on the licence Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0 Int.). Articles published before 2024 are made available under the CC BY-SA licence.

All scientific articles submitted to IAPGOS must be original, previously unpublished or not currently being taken into consideration by other journals. The authors are obliged to proceed according to the guidelines For authors and to the Ethical principles of the journal. IAPGOS allows the author(s) to hold the copyright without restrictions and to retain publishing rights without restrictions.

The manuscript accepted by the editorial office is reviewed by two independent reviewers not belonging to the author’s university, using the double-blind peer review process. The reviewers are the expert members of the International Programme Committee of the journal, who are responsible for the high substantive level of the articles. The reviewing process is described in the instructions For reviewers.

The IAPGOS journal is obliged to proceed according to the Ethical principles described by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All the submitted manuscripts are verified in the Crossref Similarity Check (powered by iThenticate) to prevent the plagiarism and duplicate publications.

The journal is published and financed by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the Lublin University of Technology; it has also received the grant from the Polish Ministry of Sciences and Higher Education in the grant program: “The support for scientific journals” (2019-2020).
