Abstract
The article considers modern civilization which, the author argues, is heading for a fall. For humankind to be rescued, we must change the direction in which civilization is currently developing. This change (termed “turbocivilization”) involves development that is defined by social integrity, the presence of prospective utopian thought and “new creativity” (New Athens). To overcome the crisis of modern civilization, its members must undergo a mental change.
