Abstract

The idea of sustainable development was established in 1987 by United Nations report. Many of the problems recognized at that time have still not been solved. The article presents the main barriers to introducing this new understanding of development (connected with moral, technical, ecological, social and political issues). In this work the focus is on moral issues which are the basis for other groups of problems connected with sustainable development.
