Abstract
he discussion of the relationships and feedbacks between culture and science conducted in this paper clearly shows that the source of any ecological crisis is in fact culture, when it takes the form of a phenotype that escapes the control of natural selection. This means that it is in the sphere of culture that regulatory mechanisms should be sought.
