Detailed information
The quarterly “Journal of Computer Sciences Institute” (J. Comput. Sci. Inst. - JCSI) has been issued since 2016 in electronic version and contains articles in English and Polish language. Four issues of our journal are published annually (March 30, June 30, September 30 and December 30). The origin of the journal is connected with the publishing activities of the Computer Sciences Institute (Lublin University of Technology), which primarily undertook to create the scientific journal for students of the Lublin University of Technology (LUT), particularly interested in the topics of IT and communication technology.
Each second-degree computer science student at the LUT should publish the main results of his master thesis in a journal. The top professional journals are exceedingly competitive and publishing an article in an academic journal can be a frustrating process. Students’ journal is a good place to begin publication record and improve understanding of the publication process. Computer science students are also eager to get involved into research conducted by scientific staff. They take measurements in the laboratory and develop some supporting applications. In order to facilitate the publication process of students’ articles, the “Journal of Computer Sciences Institute” was introduced.
JCSI does not charge submission or publication fees for the manuscripts, publishing in the open access formula, under the Creative Commons Attribution licence (CC BY 4.0 Int.). Articles published before 2024 are made available under the CC BY-SA licence.
All the submitted scientific articles should not be published or taken into consideration by any other journal. While sending the text to the JCSI editorial office, the author states that there is no conflict of interest with any person or organization regarding the discussed manuscript. The authors are obliged to follow the Guidelines and the Ethical principles of the JCSI. The journal allows the author(s) to hold the copyright without restrictions and to retain publishing rights without restrictions.
The manuscript accepted by the editorial office is subject to the double-blind peer review process.
JCSI is obliged to proceed according to the Ethical principles described by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All the submitted manuscripts are verified in the Crossref Similiarity Check (powered by iThenticate) to prevent the plagiarism and duplicate publications.
We invite students and scientists from Poland and countries abroad to cooperate with our journal to publish their research results in open access, sharing broadly with their knowledge and passion for computer sciences and IT applications.
