Abstract

The purpose of the research is to verify how current the Venice Charter is and how valid it still is today. The main field of criticism was that the Charter was an expression of a Eurocentric mentality or a Western-only vision. But bearing in mind all the signatories of that document, we instead see how it was the fruit of varied experiences and expressions from various parts of the world.

Keywords:

Venice Charter, Eurocentrism, universal validity
