Abstract
This article presents the results of research conducted at the Faculty of Architecture of the Białystok University of Technology by a team consisting of: Dr Eng. Arch. Andrzej Tokajuk and student Mateusz Juszkiewicz in 2020−2021. The aim of the research was to develop the concept of an accessible single-family house, implementing a modular implementation method. As a working method, „research by design” was adopted, which was preceded by a broad analysis of the literature on modern modular houses. The choice of modular technology was dictated by the need to reduce the costs of erecting buildings and the aspects of energy efficiency and sustainable development.
