Abstract
The article outlines the main principles of interior design of living rooms for children with autism spectrum. The design guidelines were developed on the basis of conducted surveys with parents, therapists, teachers, rehabilitators, autistic children educators, the current state of research and the author's own design experience. The design principles set out in this publication concern: the correct location of the rooms relative to the sides of the world, the location of the apartment or house, the functional layout of the room, the arrangement and selection of furniture and equipment (depending on the therapy used), the choice of finishing materials, colours, daylight and artificial lighting.
