As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses).
  • The article includes: title, authors’ data, abstract, keywords, main text, bibliography, biographic notes of all the authors.
  • The authors’ data placed on the first page of the article include: full names and surnames of the authors (not only initials), affiliations (university, department, city, country).
  • The abstract does not exceed 300 words nor contains references, briefly describes the aims, materials, methodology and main results and conclusions of the described research.
  • All the illustrations, figures and tables are signed and included in the text or will be submitted in a separate file.
  • Figures or tables taken from sources other than the author's may be published with the written permission of the copyright holder.
  • Units of measurement are presented simply and concisely using System International (SI) units.
  • The bibliography is prepared in accordance with the APA 7 style (examples below).
  • The information in each reference is complete and accurate.

The journal publishes the following types of articles:

  • scientific articles (subject to review), including standard, abridged (so-called technical or engineering notes), review articles;
  • methodical, didactic articles, which are descriptions and comments on the teaching material; methodical, didactic articles may be accompanied by supplementary material in the form of presentations, films, etc.;
  • reports, e.g. from conferences, exhibitions, competitions;
  • descriptions or summaries of research projects;
  • extended abstracts of diploma, engineering, master's and doctoral theses;
  • articles with popular scientific and technical content, published under manuscript rights.

The TLiA journal does not charge submission or publication fees for the manuscripts, publishing in the open access formula, under the licence Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0 Int.). Articles published before 2024 are made available under the CC BY-SA licence.

Sending an article for publication is tantamount to a statement that it does not infringe on the copyrights of other persons and entities.

All the submitted manuscripts are verified in the Crossref Similiarity Check (powered by iThenticate) to prevent the plagiarism and duplicate publications.

The authors submitting the manuscripts are obliged to proceed according to the Ethical principles described by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The editorial team of the journal will proceed according to the COPE flowcharts in case of detection of the infringements, e.g.: ghostwriting, guest-authorship, duplicate publication, plagiarism, publishing the article without the co-author’s permission.

The corrected article must be returned to the publisher within 3 weeks of receipt. The waiting time for the publication is 26 weeks. It is important that the article is prepared strictly according to the requirements of the journal.

Bibliography: a bibliography prepared in international bibliographic APA 7 style should be included at the end of the article.

Footnotes should be given in the text as a number in square brackets corresponding to the number in the Bibliography at the end of the article.

In the Bibliography section, footnotes should be arranged alphabetically by the name of the first author, examples:
