Abstract
The article deals with a prototype of a hybrid launcher consisting of a pneumatic module, on electromagnetic coilgun module and railgun module. Possibility of using coil from electromagnetic coil module was tested for purpose of limitation of current impulse. This impulse occurs in of the railgun launcher in hybrid electromagnetic launcher with pneumatic assist. Electromagnetic launcher discharges power source in an impulsive manner. It is reason of high value of the current flowing through the rails. It causes risk of damaging the railgun by thermal and mechanical effects. Because of that possibilities of applying external or internal limiter for inrush current limitation were shown.
