Abstract

Plasma nozzle for producing low-temperature plasma, has many possible applications, in biomedical engineering, which are used to sterilize wounds and surface of medical tools easily at low temperatures and in the technology of materials, to change the physico-chemical properties of surface. Their great advantage is the possibility of precise application of ionized gas.

This paper gives an overview of background science and technology of plasma jets, their possible application, and the first experimental results of mini plasma jets with dielectric barrier discharge.
