Abstract

Designing architecture means not only creating a new solid and designing the functions but it is also the care for respecting the context of a place and fitting a new building in the already existing environment and landscape – both the natural and the built. The following examples respect the context: the concept of the renovation and extension of Sobiescy Palace Complex at Bernardyńska Street in Lublin and a new building of Eastern Innovation Centre of Architecture on the premises of Lublin University of Technology campus.
