Artykuł porusza kwestie związków między elementami strukturalnymi a strukturą budynku w architekturze. Celem pracy jest uogólnienie cech kształtowania murówki „midis” oraz ujawnienie jej wpływu na proces ewolucji struktury średniowiecznych ormiańskich kościołów poprzez porównawczą analizę różnych cech. W pracy: usystematyzowano rozwój trójwarstwowej murówki „midis”, podkreślono zjawisko konstrukcji powłokowej i przestrzennej integralności w kościołach z IV-XIV wieku, ujawniono tendencje ewolucji monolitycznego charakteru murówki i integralności struktury kościołów poprzez porównawczą analizę cech objętościowych i planistycznych różnych kościołów. Wyniki pozwoliły sformułować pewną sekwencję oddziaływań o różnych charakterystykach, co potwierdziło związek między ewolucją murówki a strukturą kościołów: ewolucja murówki „midis” prowadziła do monolitycznego charakteru struktury ścian i wynikających z niego form, co z kolei prowadziło do integralności struktury kamiennej budowli. Wyniki te mogą być przydatne w dalszych badaniach obejmujących relacje strukturalno-kompozycyjne, w tym zarówno studia nad dziedzictwem, jak i współczesną architekturą.
