Abstract
This paper compares four mobile applications for language learning: Duolingo, Memrise, Busuu, and Mondly. The aim is to provide a detailed overview of their functionalities and compare key features. The analysis includes the advantages and disadvantages of each application, with particular emphasis on innovative features and gamification, which supports user motivation. The study involved testing the applications using an eye-tracker to assess user experience during task completion. A survey was then conducted, the results of which helped evaluate the popularity of the applications. Duolingo received the highest rating.
