Abstract

The article aims is to discuss basic issues related to the use of scanning technology, especially laser scanning in the measurement, inventory and diagnostics of wooden vernacular architecture. The article focuses on the following issues: (1) scan of the historic wooden architecture as part of the process of digitization (3D microscopy, scanning arms, structural scan, terrestrial laser scanning ); (2) the challenges and problems; (3) recommendations and guidance in inventory operations using modern measurement technologies.
