Abstract

On the subject of authenticity, no significant progress has been made in recent years, indeed from the time of the Nara Document (1994) onwards there has been much confusion. A number of sterile classifications of the various aspects of authenticity have been attempted (authenticity of material, form, site, symbolic, etc.) without arriving at any useful results.

Keywords:

Nara document, types of authenticity, Cultural Identity
