Human Being as Rational Subject of Actions in the Context of Sustainable Development Conception

Abstract

The article is presenting issues connected with philosophical anthropology, relating to functioning of human beings in the technical civilization. Human being has been defined as a rational subject of actions. Also the ethical dimension of scientific and technological development was noticed, mostly referring to the individual responsibility category, institutional in many different aspects of human activity – agricultural, social and first of all ecological category. Responsibility, understood this way, is written into the principle of sustainable development, treated as the most important and the only one idea showing the right direction of human activities so far. There is a need for intensive educational activities, to introduce the sustainable development idea into the social awareness, and this was emphasized in the presented article.
