Abstract
Wallachian Culture Route is a cultural tourism route that presents the natural values of the Carpathian Mountains and the cultural heritage of Wallachian settlers. The main objective for the creation of thxe route is the development and promotion of sustainable tourism in the Carpathian Mountains. The route is also a way to enrich and diversify the range of touristic offers in Carpathian boroughs on the basis of their own, frequently unused human and landscape capital.
The idea of the route reflects the community of the Carpathian highlanders through nomenclature, the music that is manifested in the system of village establishment, spread of fields, glades along with huts, and through the contemporary realization of cooperative, communal activities that refers back to the organization of a Wallachian hut – mutual husbandry.
Affiliation with the “Wallachian Culture Route” teaches respect for work and the achievements of past generations, also drawing attention to the cultural heritage of the Carpathian Arc.
